1 Chronicles Introduction

Synopsis:
First Chronicles was written sometime after Judah returned from their Babylonian exile in ~537 BC and composed as one book with Second Chronicles. (1 Chr 9:1-2; 2 Chr 36:23). Its focus is on the history of United Kingdom under King David and his desired goal to construct a Temple for the Lord to dwell in.
